Introduction to video games

Fps - First player shooter
This is when you play from the perspective of the character eg. call of duty or battlefield

RPG/ Role play game
These normally consist of 3 things
1) A story and quest
2) Character evolution
3) Inventory management

MMO/ Massive multiplayer online
These games have hundreds or even thousands of players at the same time
e.g.. fortnight

MMORPG/ Massively multiplayer online role play game
This is when you get to play with people online while following a story
e.g.. friday the 13th

MOBA/ Multiplayer online battle arena
These are about strategies when it is one team vs another
e.g.. league of legends

RTS/ Real time strategies games
This is like MOBA but thinks more about the whole army instead of just one character
Eg. Clash of clans

Toys of life
These have physical figures that you buy to be able to play as the characters on the screen
Eg. Skylander, (where you can buy vehicles that were the original 'toys to life')

AMIBO
This is only on wii but is very popular on that platform
eg. Disney infinity (this has well known characters and is across nearly all platforms)

Sports
eg. Fifi and Nba 2K
