Lego movie industry notes

Lego movie industry notes

= not sure about the question or if I wrote the right answer

  1. Half of the film was funded by Village Roadshow Pictures. The rest was covered by Warner bro's
  2. It was produced by Lin pictures and Warner bro's. Warner bro's will then get more money because they're spending less overall since Lin pictures is still its own company that can spend part of the money.
  3.      The film was distributed by Warner Bros Pictures via different platforms such as: iTunes, Netflix, blue ray, DVD and even piracy. These different platforms effected sales differently.                                                                                                                                         -For applications such as iTunes and Netflix, Warner bro's would be getting a sufficient amount of money as the audience is purchasing the product (or paying monthly fee), however per purchase, a decent share of the money will go towards the app itself, for promoting the film and for providing the platform for viewers to watch the film. This means that less money will go towards Warner Bro's.   .................... I don't actually really understand this question, What does it mean "how does it effect different platforms?" does it mean how does the lego movie being available on e.g.. dvd/ netflix effect that platform itself? Like it gives netflix more money? Or is it asking how the movie being available on those platforms effects warner bros?
  4. circulated globally through social media, accessible with cinema, dvd and blue ray
  5. They have their own distribution company so they had the power to distribute it wherever they wanted. This means that they don't need to pay anyone else to do it, overall giving them more money. They also have a high reputation so people would trust that the movie would be good since they have full ownership .
  6. Warner bro's operated on a global scale by distributing the film globally, to many different countries, with their own distribution company.
  7.                                                                                                -
