• TT games is a British video game developer
• Warner Bro's acquired TT Games in 2007 as a part of their move into the video game market
• The lego movie video game was directed by Matt Palmer (who's known for his work with Tim Burton's Corpse Bride)
• The game was launched the same week as the movie - why do you think this was done?
• I think this was done because whilst the film is a new launch, the video games will also seem like an exciting new launch. If the video games were launched after the film, they wouldn't be as sought after because the peak of the marketing and excitement surrounding the film would have faded. 

Why do companies release films and games at the same time?

• Profit is maximised 
• Familiarity
• Extends the pleasure of the film
• They promote each other

• This horizontal integration of video games further promotes their product since fans of the Lego Movie film may want to purchase the video games and other forms of horizontal integration and merchandise. All this does is further funds Warner Bro's, feeding into the giant conglomerate they are.
